snow each year with much more in the nearby mountain areas. History of Lehi Lehi history: The Lehi area was settled in 1850 and was first known as Sulphur Springs,
then Dry Creek, and then Evansville. Finally, in 1852, it was incorporated as
the sixth city in the state. It was then renamed for Lehi, a leader in the Book
of Mormon (one of the scriptures for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints).
